About

A dessert parlour with a passion for Italian flavour

In October 2016, we opened Del Gelato with a simple idea: to create a dessert parlour
where people could come together, enjoy something indulgent, and experience flavours
inspired by Italy.

From the very beginning, dessert has been at the heart of everything we do.
We wanted Del Gelato to be more than somewhere to simply pick up a scoop of ice
cream. We wanted it to be somewhere you could sit down, relax and enjoy the whole
experience, whether that meant a coffee and a slice of cake, a bowl of freshly made
gelato, a loaded waffle or a milkshake with friends and family.

Italian coffee, our way.

Coffee has also been an important part of Del Gelato from the start. We wanted our coffee to complement the desserts rather than simply be another drink on the menu. Our Italian coffee has developed its own distinctive character and has become a favourite in its own right.

Whether you’re joining us for your morning coffee, enjoying an afternoon treat or finishing an evening dessert, a great coffee belongs at Del Gelato.

Our waffles…

A dessert parlour needs something indulgent to share.

Our waffles have become an important part of the Del Gelato experience, freshly prepared, generous and made to be enjoyed with gelato and all the toppings that make a dessert feel like a proper treat.

Alongside our waffles and coffee, our menu has grown to include cakes, milkshakes,
and a wide range of desserts, giving everyone a reason to visit.

And then there is our gelato

Gelato has always been central to Del Gelato.

Since opening, we have continued to make our gelato on site using the same balanced recipe, with carefully selected ingredients helping us create the distinctive taste and texture we wanted from the very beginning.

For us, the ingredients matter. We source key ingredients directly from Italy to stay true to the flavours and character of authentic Italian gelato.

It’s not simply about calling something gelato. It’s about the taste, texture and experience that comes with it.

More than 10 years later

Since those first customers walked through our doors in 2016, Del Gelato has continued to grow while staying true to the idea we started with:

a place dedicated to great desserts, great coffee and great moments together.

Our menu may have evolved, but our focus hasn’t changed.

Italian-inspired gelato. Distinctive coffee. Amazing waffles. Indulgent desserts.

And most importantly, a place where you can sit down, enjoy yourself and make a little
time for something you love.
